Standard requirements for hardware processing

With the development of the market and the increasing demand, the requirements for products are becoming higher and higher. Whether the mold parts processed by precision parts processing manufacturers can meet the needs of the market is a problem we need to face and consider together. What are the standards and requirements for precision hardware mold processing parts?

Standard requirements for hardware mold processing:

First, the cold and heat fatigue resistance of parts

In the process of working, the surface of some molds is subjected to tension and pressure variable stress on the surface of the repeated heating and cooling chamber, which causes surface cracking and spalling, increases friction, hinders plastic deformation, reduces dimensional accuracy, and thus leads to mold failure. Cold and heat fatigue is one of the main forms of hot die failure, and it should have high resistance to cold and heat fatigue.

Two, the strength and toughness of parts

Most of the working conditions of precision mold accessories are very poor, and some often bear large impact load, leading to brittle fracture. In order to prevent the mould parts from breaking suddenly while working, the mould should have high strength and toughness. The toughness of a tool depends mainly on the carbon content, particle size and organizational state of the material.

Three, high temperature performance of parts

When the mold operating temperature increases, hardness and strength will decrease, leading to early wear or plastic deformation of the mold and failure. Therefore, the die material should have high tempering resistance stability to ensure that the die has high hardness and strength at working temperature.

Four, the corrosion resistance of parts

When some molds such as plastic molds are working, due to the chlorine, fluorine and other elements in the plastic, after heating, the decomposition of HCI, HF and other strong corrosive gases will erode the surface of the mold cavity, increase its surface roughness, and aggravate the wear failure.

5. Fatigue fracture performance of parts

In the working process of precision die parts, fatigue fracture often occurs under the action of cyclic stress for a long time. Its forms include low energy multiple impact fatigue fracture, tensile fatigue fracture, contact fatigue fracture and bending fatigue fracture. The fatigue fracture performance of die mainly depends on its strength, toughness, hardness and the content of inclusions in the material.
